I had the pleasure of providing live visuals for Be Prepare’s staurday night show at the Grosvenor. The four bands where excellent, particularly Teeth Of The Sea, who were a little Miasma-ish and McWatt, and highly lyrical accordion and double-bass duo.
Friday night Tooting Bizarre hosted a big ol’ charity gig at the Grosvenor. I played with the DHRB (we rocked) and got to visualise all night. I was helped out by some official Oxjam VJ-DVD when I got too drunk, but the new lappy (Vanessa’s) held up surprising well. Although it could do with some more RAM…
This was also Tooting Bizarre’s first birthday, and exactly a year after the first time I did live visuals (at said TB event)!
My début improvising visuals to live bands. It went down a storm and really helped brand the night. A lot of positive feedback. Itching to do it again, but venues with projectors seem few and far between.

Music video cut in a “VJ” style, from footage taken predominantly from “Early Summer” by Ozu and “Beast From A Really Deep Part of the Ocean” (or something). The track is “lament0110″ by Simon Hutchinson and was shown in Japan in June 2006. Download the video here.
